Meet your Telehealth Osteopath.
Danielle Pain (BOst, FAFS, BMAS)
Osteopath, Movement Specialist, Medical Acupuncturist
Danielle is a qualified, insured and registered Osteopath, with over a decade of experience treating professional sports people, high profile celebrities and general population.
Danielle studied for her Osteoapthy Honours degree in Oxford and established The Pain Clinic there in 2013. She quickly made an impact locally, growing a patient list of over 2,000 patients, and was voted as a finalist for the Institute of Osteopathy’s UK Clinic of the Year in 2019.
In addition to her clinic, Danielle has worked within a variety of settings, including TV and film sets/studios, professional sports arenas (including some time with Linford Christie and his sprint team), on tour with Jason Manford in 2022, in other high profile celebrity’s homes, consulting in gym settings, and many more. Danielle is comfortable in each of these settings, and the trust she has built with these demographics is testament to her professional and trustworthy nature.
As her patient list expanded geographically, Danielle began offering online Telehealth sessions in 2018, which grew in popularity during COVID in 2020. Since moving away from Oxford in 2022 to be closer to family, her clinical services have moved to predominantly online consultations, although she does still provide some treatments locally and on location.
Danielle is a member of the Institute of Osteopathy (iO), the largest membership body of osteopaths in the UK.
Random fact: Danielle is also a member of Mensa!

I’ve used Danielle for 7 years and she is hands down the best Osteopath you will find! She’s fixed all my broken parts, again and again!
Jason Manford
Throughout my career I have unfortunately had many injuries, which in turn meant I had the pleasure of working with many medical teams across the globe. I must say, without doubt, Danielle is someone who I regard as one of the best. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her and I will certainly visit again for treatment

Forget Couch to 5K, I did crutches to 4 sets of tennis in 6 weeks thanks to Danielle working wonders on my sprained ankle. Absolutely super osteopath and I highly recommend her
Hilary Napolitan
So the plan last November was to fix my ‘bad hip’ to allow me to compete in Kickboxing again. Well, 3 great sessions, an awesome rehab plan and a few months of hard work got me there. Yesterday, I achieved my goal! Another World Kickboxing Title- 100% healed and able to kick properly again. Thank you so much again!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Frequently Asked Questions.
These are online video consultations with a medical professional, whereby you can discuss your injury or pain, be taken through diagnostic questioning and testing, given a diagnosis and, if appropriate, given rehabilitative treatment and advice.
The average time medical students spend studying musculoskeletal/orthopaedic injuries is only 2.7 weeks out of their 5 years’ training. In contrast, an osteopath studies these injuries and conditions for 4 years in a full-time university and clinic placement setting.
In addition, osteopaths will be able to advise on how best to rehabilitate your injury or condition, whereas a GP will typically only prescribe medication or refer you to other more specialist services such as an osteopath or physiotherapist.
Using our Telehealth services cuts out the middle man and saves a lot of time waiting for referrals. Danielle Pain, the osteopath you will be seen by during our online consultations, has worked for the NHS Musculoskeletal referral services and knows first hand the limitations and lack of quality care that is delivered. This was her key reason for leaving this role and deciding to deliver a better, more personal and effective service via The Pain Clinic’s Telehealth Consultations.
New patient consultations are allocated up to 50 minutes and cost £95.
If a follow up appointment is required, these are up to 40 minutes and cost £85.
If a Fitness to Work Note for your employer is required, this is included free of charge.
It’s difficult to predict how many sessions each patient will require, as rehabilitation is very individual to each patient, but for an acute injury, you can expect some symptomatic relief after one session, or at least be given the tools to achieve this in the days following your first session. An estimate for resolving acute conditions is between 2-4 sessions and for chronic conditions between 3-8 sessions.
While chronic conditions can take longer to resolve, we try to space out our sessions for these conditions as long as possible, in order to give you time to make significant changes in your own time between sessions.
There is never any pressure to book blocks of treatments or even to book follow ups. Your osteopath will advise how many and how frequent you should have appointments, but ultimately it’s totally up to you and you may choose to just gain the information and advice from the first appointment and use the tools given during your session to improve your symptoms and then see how you get on – and that’s totally fine!
We recommend that you wear comfortable, unrestrictive clothes so you can move easily during your appointment. Sessions may potentially only consist of a discussion of symptoms and medical advice, however, it is very likely that active assessments, demonstration and/or simple movements will be required, therefore, you will need to be comfortable as you move. Don’t worry, you will NOT be asked to undress, although you may want to show areas of redness, bruising or swelling, for example; this is, of course, at your discretion.
All appointments are pre-paid at the time of booking, via our website.
If either you or your osteopath are having technical difficulties and the call is disrupted, we will try to call you via Whatsapp video chat on your phone, (which is encrypted at both ends, maintaining privacy as much as possible). If this is also problematic, then we will reschedule for another time at no extra charge.
We strongly recommend you check your internet connection prior to your appointment, taking into consideration other people making use of your internet bandwidth in your home during the time of your appointment.
Yes! If, after a full consultation, your osteopath feels that it is appropriate for you to have adjustments made at work, or to have some time away from work to help you rehabilitate your condition, then a Fitness to Work certificate will be provided to help your employer best support you.
Yes, we regularly treat children. Childhood conditions and injuries are just as common as with adults and just as important (if not more) to rehabilitate well, in order to avoid long term compensation, which can frequently lead to excessive wear and tear as a result.
Please note, if you are booking an appointment for a child under the age of 16 years, a parent or legal guardian MUST be present for the duration of the appointment.
You can cancel your appointment easily by following the link in your appointment confirmation. You can also cancel your appointment by emailing [email protected]. Please provide at least 48 hours notice for any cancellations so that we can plan our time effectively and offer the time to others. Missed appointments and late cancellations are not refundable.
